This is a site created for the WWN, the women's business committee of the Greater West LA Chamber of Commerce. Using a combination of html, javascripts, and perl scripts this site fills the needs of this growing business women's networking group. Including a bulletin board, automated email list maintenance, online event registration capabilities, and a private "staff only" area, this site provides local business woman in the West Los Angeles area with information on upcoming networking opportunities, recaps of past events and presentations, as well as providing the committee staff a centralized storage location of contact information and calendar-style event coordination.

Mara - Site Design Version 1
An example of a more artistic approach, this successful singer/songwriter's site maintains a very girl-next-door approachable feel, while keeping the entertainer in close contact with an international fan base of thousands. The site provides current news as well as offering a low cost sales platform for the artist's music and products. This is a well-developed site with multiple photo galleries, multi-media, a member's area with chat room, weekly updated diary, video, and much more.

The site uses a combination of html, javascripts, and perl scripts as well as custom graphics to meet the light and airy approach desired by the client. The client has also taken advantage of our E-Postcard mailing list solution for professional eye-catching newsletter updates to her thousands of fans around the globe.

Mara - Site Design Version 2
Taking the existing design into an edgier feel for the artist to reflect her addition of a full band to her acoustic roots and her emergence as a rock star performer, darker colors and new banners with the use of gradients add a more daring feel to the overall site while not alienating the current fan base.

Our site makeover, and the addition of new photos to several key pages, maintained a familiar feel by keeping the same data and conceptual design approach yet added a depth and slightly harder edge to a fully blossomed entertainer's online persona. See the whole site HERE at www.marasong.com.

Michele A. Nuzzo - Writer & Editor
Michele Nuzzo is an independent copywriter, ghostwriter and freelance journalist. She writes and edits print and online materials for corporate, clinical and community-based organizations. Because Michele’s client base is largely small businesses and non-profit organizations dedicated to health, social services and the environment, Michele wanted a web site in earth tones with a very personalized feel. Mara - Design for "Backstage"
Wanting to differentiate the Backstage area from the main portion of Mara's site, we designed a whole new color scheme based on Mara's most recent EP release while still maintaining elements already used in the existing site design, such as font styles and colors.

Again, the idea is to update and evolve the site to match Mara's changing style while not alienating her current fan base. Eventually, the plan is to transition the entire site to this new color scheme, while still maintaining the distinction between the main site and the Backstage area.

MyOrchard.com
Designed as a niche market online produce store, this full service E-Commerce web site is the embodiment of "boutique on a budget." A combination of strategically placed static web pages interspersed with pages of dynamically updating product line, this site's online store is fully maintained by the site owner and was specifically designed to keep his day-to-day overhead costs at a minimum while maintaining a progressive and professional image. (Site offline as of Feb 2005.)
